Just a few thoughts...
...You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy." But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,that you may be children of your heavenly Father....
....For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have? Do not the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brothers only, what is unusual about that? Do not the pagans do the same?
The thing that I loved about Jesus is he knew what to look for in a person. How to know if they were genuine or not. Sometimes I wish I had the same expertise...
I mean, love in its essence is selfless right? Then why do people claim to "love" each other when what they do for the other person is for a selfish motive? I don't quite understand the workings of the male mind but one thing is for sure --> I never want to be a guy.
